The Airless Drying Concept

Airless Drying is an internationally patented method of drying which uses dry superheated steam as the heating medium, capable of performing any drying process. This superheated steam is created solely from moisture contained in the product being dried and is safe to operate, easy to control, offers ultra fast drying times and operates at high thermal efficiencies.  It is safe because the superheated steam is at atmospheric pressure, and easy to control because only the temperature and not the relative humidity changes.  Airless Processing uses  indirectly heated recirculating pyrolysis gases generated from already-dried organic materials to modify them physically and chemically.

How is airless drying different from conventional drying?

  • The dryer uses dry, superheated steam, not air, as the medium to transport the heat to the product.
  • The system operates on full recirculation principles, not a combination of recirculation and introduction of volumes of ambient air.
  • As the airless dryer is controlled by temperature only, there is no need for costly humidity control equipment.

Benefits

Operational Considerations

Airless Dryers and Airless Processors are safe to operate, easy to control, offer fast drying and processing times and operate at high thermal efficiencies and importantly are environmentally friendly.

  • They are safe because the superheated steam and other gases are at atmospheric pressure.
  • They are easy to control because only temperatures need to be controlled.
  • They are environment friendly because toxic emissions can be prevented.
